1970 Formula Firebird. A Formula 400 with a freshly rebuilt '67 400 backed by a TH350. Engine is a YS code with #670 heads (big valve, high compression ~10.75:1). Engine was completely rebuilt ~1000 miles ago. Crank, rods, pistons are all original. HEI ignition, new plugs & wires, fairly new Qjet carb. The car runs great on unleaded fuel. Does not have RamAir Air Cleaner. Originally functional hood (came open from the factory). 12 bolt rear end with front and rear sway bars. Car comes with '77 7" Snowflakes and tires that are almost bald, but hold air, and will get you home. New dual exhaust with turbo mufflers pipes exit the rear, just like stock. New windshield w/antenna built in. New weatherstrip in doors and trunk. New door outer weatherstrip. All rusted out areas replaced with new metal (i.e. front of rear wheels, rear valence, windshield corners). All previous paint removed and block sanded. Primered and painted '70 Lucerne Blue (poor paint job - needs a respray) Unpainted DS front fender. Great rear bumper and nose. Needs front end rebuild (ball joints, bushings, tie rod ends). New shocks. Interior is black and decent, '73 Custom interior seats, console is nice (non-original), '75 T/A dash plate, full gauges incl. tachometer, nice doorpads, new carpet, decent dash (2 hairline cracks), needs headliner (may have one installed later), has sunroof opening (will buy sunroof soon). I am replacing the original fenders and hood on my 67 Camaro. The right fender has bondo in the front. The hood is good, but has had a fiberglass cowl scoop blended in at some point in its history. Both fenders show some signs of hail damage. I figure these panels could be good for someone trying to sell a low-dollar Camaro that has more extensive damage to the front end or rust.
