Snowmobiles

About

Two friends I met in late 2003 had snowmobiles and offered to take me riding to see if I liked it. I figured I would, and since I now had somebody to ride with and learn from, I figured it was time to take the plunge. It's now five years later and this is the most enjoyable thing I've ever done.

The Sleds: Past and Present

1998 Arctic Cat ZR600 Mod. This was given to me by a friend because he didn't have room for it anymore. It needs a few repairs before it's usable.

2005 Arctic Cat M6. Finally back on an M-series! I got this one last Fall from a guy in Idaho. Got it really cheap, because it has high miles and has been beat up pretty good. I've already fixed everything wrong with it, though. It's getting a fresh motor before next season, and a 700cc top end.

1998 Ski-Doo Summit 670X. This one got me through Winter 2006-2007 and I liked it better than the RMK before it. It now has a good home with a friend up in Portola.

2003 Polaris RMK 800. This is my third snowmobile. I know a lot of people with 2003 RMK 800s and they all love 'em. For the price, I couldn't pass it up. I ended up not liking how it handled, so I sold it after two rides.

2005 Arctic Cat M7. This was my second snowmobile. Great sled, especially for deep powder. Very lightweight, great power for a 700cc motor. I sold it because I got good money for it, and I wanted more power. When Arctic Cat releases an M8 or M9, I'll get one.

2004 Ski-Doo Summit Highmark 800 HO. This was my first snowmobile. I enjoyed it, but found that I liked the M series better, so I sold this one and upgraded.
