Notes(11/29/2005) It's finally done! I'm picking it up tomorrow and hope to ride this coming weekend. (11/17/2005) There's even more to the story below. It seems the crank was shot too. I've had to spend over $700 more having it rebuilt. I've put another new top end on it and have gone to ported cylinders and am ordering an SLP pipe for it too. Might as well get some extra power to go with all the other new parts. (9/19/2005) I found this sled on KSL.com and couldn't pass it up for the price. I was going to get an older (00-01) RMK 700 or 800, but found this one by accident. Unfortunately, the dealer, Triple-S Polaris in Utah (near Salt Lake City), sold me a bum sled. It had a blown motor and they didn't tell me (I didn't sign an As-Is No Warranty form either), so I had to spend another $500+ fixing it AND I missed out on the last few rides of last season as a result. I called them to try to get 'em to make good and they won't return my calls. These guys are bastards and should be avoided at all costs. There's a lot more to tell about this, and I'll be writing up more in the near future. Rob |
