Spot

About Him

This is my cat, Spot. He was named by some friends in Texas whom I was living with when I got him. Yes, he's named after Data's cat on Star Trek. We couldn't think of anything better at the time, so it stuck.

I got him in July of 1994, at the age of 10 weeks. He was a tiny thing back then, weighing about 1.5 lbs. Since then he's grown to an enormous twelve pounds!

He turned nine years old in May, 2003. He's still as playful as he was when he was a year old, although he's very much a typical cat in that he spends probably eighteen hours a day sleeping.

His favorite places to sleep include the sofa, my computer chair, near a heat duct on the floor, on my lap, or anywhere else that it's warm!
